Steve Root

Steve initially purchased a new apartment back in 2004 and came to this area for holidays with his family for 10 years. He finally made the plunge in 2014 to move here full-time with his wife Katherine and their two younger children. He purchased a new villa in Villamartin which was off plan and took 12 months to build.

‘Understanding this process is very important, from choices of kitchens or tiles, changes to the design of your property or protection of your money you need honest and expert advice and someone to be here in Spain project managing the process.’

Steve worked with a local agent since 2014 specialising in new build properties and has worked closely with all the developers understanding their processes and qualities cementing a strong respectful relationship. Steve has helped many clients (most of which are now friends) to find their ideal property in the right area and with their new life in Spain.

Paul Mainwaring

Paul’s background in the U.K was within the construction and I.T sectors with over 30 years' experience, 20 years as a senior/project manager. Paul decided on his new life in the sun in 2014 and purchased a new villa in Villamartin with his wife Sue. They went through the whole process of having it built and dealing with the builder from reservation to completion. He also worked for a local agent for two years giving him great insight to the real estate business here in Spain.

Sue Mainwaring – Aftersales Manager

Sue can of course identify with anyone making this move and understands how important the support and the wrap around service provided by Luxury New Home After Sales team is to clients. Whether that be buying a holiday home or moving permanently.

Sue worked as a nurse in the NHS for 30 years before moving to Spain. She supported children and their families with learning disabilities and mental health needs.

Before Sue joined the team at Luxury New Home Spain, she gained an excellent reputation locally looking after holiday homes (key holding) for people that wanted peace of mind whilst in their home country. This included security checks, cleaning and meet & greets with holiday makers or family/friends of the property owners.

Sue has a sound knowledge of the area and can recommend where you can shop and purchase everything needed for your new home. She has good working relationships with the essential services here in Spain that our buyers will need access to. Sue can recommend lawyers, currency exchange providers, mortgage advisors and will happily assist you at these appointments.

Sue can facilitate and communicate effectively with you and your developer/builder ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to completion.

Katherine Root – Aftersales Manager

Katherine had been visiting this area at their holiday home with Steve and their family since 2004 and decided to take the plunge in 2014 to move here full-time. Having a new house built, integrating her two children in a new country and school, and starting a new career in Spain, were a few of the challenges when starting a new life abroad.

Katherine said “It was a daunting but an exciting experience when we decided to change our lives forever in 2014. We have met so many wonderful people along the way and many are now our very good friends.
